Functional Honey Bread Recipe
Who can resist a delicious honey bun? This cookie can prove to be a true calorie bomb forbidden to those who are on a diet, or follow a healthy diet, but there is a solution! With the help of Specialfood prepare functional honey bread, an improved and less caloric version, prepared with ingredients that are beneficial for the body, gluten and lactose free. Ingredients for making functional gingerbread:
2 cups of gluten free flour
¾ cup of vegetable milk
½ cup of honey (150 grams)
½ cup extra virgin coconut oil
½ cup cocoa powder
⅓ cup of sugar
¼ cup of water (60 milliliters)
2 egg units
1 tablespoon of vanilla essence
1 coffee spoon of baking powder
1 coffee spoon of baking soda
1 coffee spoon of clove powder
1 coffee spoon of grated or ground nutmeg
1 coffee spoon of ground cinnamon
chocolate with a minimum of 70% cocoa
How to make Functional Gingerbread:
To make this improved honey bread, the first step is to beat the coconut oil with the sugar. Then add honey, eggs and essence, and mix everything until smooth.
In a bowl mix together the dry ingredients (flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and spices). Add these ingredients to the previous mixture, little by little, alternating with milk and water, so that no lumps form.
Tip: If you want, you can also add almonds, hazelnuts or ground walnuts to the dry ingredients.
When everything is well mixed, pour onto a greased and floured rectangular baking sheet, or several gingerbread pans, also greased and floured. Place in a preheated oven at 180ºC for 35 minutes (for the baking sheet) or 20 minutes (for the molds).
Tip: Fill only 2/3 of the gingerbread pans with the dough to prevent it from coming out while baking.
Finally, chop the chocolate and melt in microwave or bain-marie. Serve the functional gingerbread with melted chocolate, and let us know what you think. Enjoy your food!
